The big picture.

Once you are near Overgaard.

From Phoenix, take SR 87 north to Payson and head east on SR 260.

From Tucson, take North Oracle Road, keeping right onto SR 77, head west on US 70, and then turn right onto US 60 and then at Show Low head west on SR 260.

Once on SR 260 continue on to Overgaard, turning north onto Mogollon Drive.

Mogollon Drive is only one mile long between SR 260 and SR 277. After about one half mile, turn east onto Chevelon Drive then shortly a left turn, north, onto Homestead Road. At the bottom of the hill the road will curve right into Jeep Trail. Pass through the green gate (if gate is closed and latched, no worries, please unlatch and open) and proceed to East Aspen Rd. Turn left heading west and then immediately turn right, north onto Rustic Court. At the end of the cul-de-sac on the right you will find the entrance to the Apache-Sitgreaves Observatory.
